Kerry L. Smyser has over 25 years of diverse experience in developing large scale urban redevelopment, neighborhood transformation. and economic development. Her work with the District of Columbia Housing Authority for the past eighteen years and another eight years prior working with the Job Corps program at the national and local levels has given her a wide breadth of hands-on experience and knowledge. Over the years, she has worked to develop more than 1,700 mixed-income and mixed-tenured units in mixed-use developments with private developers, non-profits, and through DCHA’s own development entity. Kerry has volunteered her skills for several DC area organizations, including strategic planning for Habitat for Humanity and community support and property management for Takoma Park Baptist church.

Kristen L. Kosin has over two decades of diverse experience in urban and economic development and public service. She has worked for more than a decade as a consultant in the Washington D.C. Metro Area, utilizing her expertise in the financing, construction management, sales management and asset management of urban affordable housing projects across the nation. She has extensive knowledge in HOPE VI/Choice Neighborhood urban revitalization as well as in a spectrum of regional and international projects. Other areas of expertise include budget preparation/analysis, market studies, rent analysis, incentive analysis, non-profit management and more.
When Kristen became Executive Director for Meals on Wheels NEPA, she transformed the unstable organization into a vibrant, vital community-based agency, spearheaded a major renovation to a blighted city building to serve as meeting space for non-profits, enhanced Community Health programming and expanded the Treasured Friends Pet Food Delivery Program to provide both pet food and pet services to struggling pet owners.
